The studio

Made by Bkchapo.

One producer, building the tools he wished existed — and shipping them himself.

The short version

MADEBYBK started the way most good tools do — out of frustration. As a producer, I kept reaching for plugins that had forty knobs when I needed three, or that promised the world and buried the one useful move under menus.

So I started building my own. Sub-Beef was the first one out the door — a clipper with a single purpose: make your 808 slap on the speaker most people actually listen on. No manual required. Drop it on, turn it up, done.

Everything here follows the same rule. Each plugin does one thing, does it well, and gets tested on real machines — old laptops included — before it ships. If it doesn't earn a permanent spot on my own mixer, it doesn't go in the catalog.

That's the whole idea. Small, sharp tools, made by someone who's on the same side of the screen as you.

How I build

Four rules every plugin has to pass.

01

One job

Every tool solves a single problem. If it needs a tutorial, it's too complicated.

02

Few knobs

The hard work happens under the hood so the surface stays simple. Reach for it, not through it.

03

Real testing

Mac and Windows, new hardware and old. It has to run on the laptop you actually own.

04

Made by a producer

Built by someone who uses these in real sessions — not a spec sheet.
